European Regional Sales Manager

£110,000 / €115,000 annually + package

Our client, Venator, is currently recruiting for a European Regional Sales Manager to join its growing team.

The job holder will develop and manage all aspects of the CPF business within the assigned territorial area of responsibility.

In close contact with customers, distributors and specified multinational, key accounts the job holder is accountable to achieve the targets agreed.

Furthermore, the job holder will, by technical & market understanding of customer needs, determine the value of their offer to customers and extend further the leading position of their business.


The Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing accounts, agents and distributors in the CPF area
  • Manage customer offers to increase margin generation
  • Perform price negotiations in-line with the global CPF strategy
  • Establish customer requirements and needs
  • Succeed market launch of new products
  • Prepare, maintain and own key account plans
  • Organize claim handling process
  • Support allocation process of (out of specification, limited volume) CPF products
  • Manage all aspects of credit control related to designated customers
  • Optimize the total sales revenue and profitability for the area
  • Increase share of the CPF markets in the specific territory
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the other members of the CPF sales team, CPF Product Stewardship, Quality Management, Customer Service team and Finance
  • Develop ideas for improvement
  • Constantly challenge the status quo to improve and develop the quality of the result
  • Identify and communicate unmet market needs
  • Provide market and customer intelligence to the organisation
  • Keep up-to-date with both global CPF marketing strategy as well as customer and market developments


The Requirements
  • M.Sc. in a chemical oriented or physical science discipline, BA of commerce and BA Management
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a commercial/selling environment; preferably in the Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals or Food market
  • Commercial experience and understanding of key indicators, and how sales, supply chain, finance and shared service center interact and deliver improved performance in line with the revenue plan
  • In-depth knowledge of CPF products and processes as well as customer base and end use markets
  • Experience in needs based selling to extract value from customer buying decisions
  • Experience in selling across country boundaries to multinational accounts
  • Superior organizational and priority setting skills within a complex matrix of multi-site customers and multi-level contacts between supplier and customer
  • High ability to execute and accommodate centrally made commercial decisions between our company and the Key Account HQ’s in the appointed territory
  • High degree of professionalism and credibility posturing towards customers
  • English language fluency essential
